I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
